Homestay
Many of our students request
homestay. This is where we place a student in the home of a
British family. The term 'homestay family' can encompass
different family structures. For example, some of our
homestay providers are couples, some may have younger or older
children living in the home, and some are single ladies.
London is also a diverse
multi-cultural society, which means that our homestay
providers may or may not be of British origin. All
our homestays speak English to the level of a native speaker and
are friendly, kind and welcoming. We select those who have a
pleasant and comfortable house and who are genuinely interested in
welcoming students into their home.
Homestay is an excellent option for students who are keen to practise their English. There is opportunity for conversation over dinner and interaction on the weekends. Students are often included in activities such as weekend outings or a trip to the cinema. Homestay also offers students insight into the British way of life.
Milner’s homestay families are located in Wimbledon and the surrounding areas. Often, they are within walking distance to the school. Students save money and time on transport and can enjoy living in a safe and pleasant neighbourhood.
